Numina Group’s work with NorthShore Care Supply was recently featured in DC Velocity, one of the industry’s leading logistics and supply chain publications.
The article details how NorthShore Care Supply, a direct-to-consumer supplier of health-care products based in suburban Chicago, partnered with Numina Group to modernize its AMR-based order fulfillment operation. After its original robot supplier could no longer support the system, NorthShore turned to Numina Group, who recommended and integrated a fleet of KUKA KMP 600P mobile platforms orchestrated by Numina’s RDS Batchbot 2 software.
The results speak for themselves. Five new AMRs now do the work of the previous six, cart capacity increased to 36 orders per cart, and the operation seamlessly handles roughly 1,800 shipped orders and up to 8,000 picks per day. Because RDS decouples pickers from specific carts and zones, the system keeps product flowing without constantly reassigning labor, reducing NorthShore’s reliance on temporary workers while giving the operation room to grow.
