Technician

Numina Group is a fast-growing company located in Woodridge, IL, that specializes in designing and implementing warehouse automation systems. We are currently seeking a full time Install / Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in both electrical and mechanical systems. The candidate will be expected to be self-motivated and work as part of a team to resolve customer issues and determine root cause of given issues.

Duties

Install, Locate and Configure devices and hardware such as:
- Scales
- Print and Apply Labeling Machines
- Label Printers
- Barcode Scanners
- Dimensioners
- Conveyor Beds (24 VDC and 480 VAC)
- Industrial IO
- Extruded Aluminum Framing
- Case Sealers
- Document Inserters
- Pick to Light Systems
- Work Stations

Setup equipment using applicable software tools, documentation and engineered drawings.
Participate in the systematic testing and tuning of all components of a customers conveyor system during install.
Perform preventive maintenance on customer equipment per preventive maintenance check lists and suggest corrective measures to the customer.
Troubleshoot and correct mechanical, electrical and network issues on customer equipment while onsite and remotely.

Skills/Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret technical layouts, schematics, documentation and diagrams.
Understanding of industrial wiring and I/O
Understanding of pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with network devices and configuring device IP addresses.
Strong communication & customer service skills
Comfortable using a Windows computer for daily work
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools and test equipment used in the install, maintenance and troubleshooting of Numina equipment
Conveyor install/maintenance experience is a plus.
Experience in warehouse and distribution centers a plus.
Perform general physical activities that require use of the whole body such as lifting, walking, kneeling and climbing.
Ability to travel from up to 75% throughout North America.
Associates/Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent technical training/experience is required.
